VASCO: Concerned over the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Shree Damodar Bhajani saptha committee decided to not celebrate saptha publicly on July 26. Almost 95 percent of the Saptah events will be held virtually and devotees will not be permitted to visit temple premises
In a joint meeting held on Wednesday which was attended by district administrative officers, including local authorities discussed various preventive measures to be taken on the day of Saptha.
After the meeting, deputy collector of Mormugao, Sachin dessai informed that this year saptha will happen with minimum ritual and only four persons will be allowed in the temple at that time. Dessai also requested devotees not to visit the temple.
While Traffic Police Inspector of Vasco Sudesh Narvekar said that the road leading to Damodar temple Vasco will be closed on the day of Saptha with barricades, to stop people visiting temple.
