Deputy Collector Agnelo Fernandes on Wednesday convened a monsoon disaster management meeting to tackle any undue incident during monsoon in Quepem taluka.
The meeting was attended by Curchorem PI Banudas Dessai and Quepem PI Sudesh Narvekar, Quepem Mamlatdar Sudin Natu, BDO Manuel Barretto, Quepem Municipal Council CO Prashant Shirodkar and officials from fire service, PWD, Electricity department, ZAO and health officer.
Deputy Collector Fernandes informed that there will be a control room at Quepem Mamlatdar’s office and another at Sanguem Mamlatdar’s office, which would function round the clock from Thursday. The Quepem control room can be contacted on 2662228 and Sanguem control room on 2604232.
The deputy collector has urged the people to take maximum benefit of the facility.
