PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer for the last one year, was reportedly critical during the last two days.
Sources said that Parrikar, who held a cabinet meeting on Monday, suddenly felt weak. Sources further revealed that several expert doctors from Goa Medical College, including Dr Manjhnath Desai and Dr Sunanda, were rushed to his private residence in Dona Paula on Friday.
Earlier in the day, a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said that Parrikar held a meeting with Secretary Ashok Kumar and other officials. “Administrative as well as files pertaining to various important projects were cleared by the Chief Minister,” the CMO said.
Recently, Parrikar had received follow up treatment from AIIMS New Delhi. In the last one year Parrikar has been treated at Sloan Kettering Research Centre in USA, as well as Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
