MAPUSA: Colvale Police arrested a 38-year-old local for illegally possessing substance suspected to be ganja, on Sunday.
The police conducted a narcotic raid on Sunday evening near fort, Fattirwada, Colvale and caught the accused person, a resident of Colvale, with ganja weighing 1.310 kgs, worth Rs 1.6 lakh
The police have registered an offence under Section 20 (b) (I) (B) of NDPS Act 1985 and have placed the alleged accused under arrest. A team led by PSI Mandar Parab, Police Constables Datta Gauns, Nilesh Lingudkar, Anish Kumar Poke, Santosh Narvekar, Head Constable Pratap Sawant conducted the raid. PSI Kunal Naik is further investigating the case.
