Duo booked for circulating obscene videos of a woman

VASCO: The Verna Police have registered a case against Dayasagar Kashyap and Neeraj Kumar, both natives of Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh and currently residing at Sancoale for allegedly circulating an obscene video of a woman through electronic means with the intent to harm reputation of the victim and her family.

The police stated that the two accused by circulating an obscene video involving a local woman, insulting her modesty and defamed her.

The victim’s husband in his complaint stated that the incident occurred on October 25, at around 7:30 pm.

Following a complaint, the police registered a case against both the accused under Section 67(A) of the Information Technology Act, along with Section 79, 356(2) read with 3(5) of BNSS.

The accused were subsequently issued notices under Section 35/3 of the BNSS Act.
