Duo held in suicide case

Calangute Police on Friday arrested mother-son duo in connection with the Saligao suicide case.
Acting on the directives of the SDM, Calangute Police arrested Chandrawati Korgaonkar (mother-in-law) and Sagar Korgaonkar (husband) of late Reshma in the suicide case.
According to PI Manjunath Dessai, holding additional charge of Calangute Police, the SDM directed the Calangute Police to file an FIR in the Reshma Korgaonkar suicide case citing foul play in the episode based on which arrests have been carried out.
It may be recalled that Reshma Korgaonkar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan with the help of dupatta.
The investigations were being carried out by SDM as the death had occurred within seven years of their marriage.
