Addressing the media, Reginaldo said the government should stop harassing the DSSS beneficiaries including the widows, different abled persons and the elderly as they are made to run from pillar to post to get the life certificates.
He pointed out that the BJP government after coming to power in 2012 had carried out a survey on the number of DSSS beneficiaries, adding that the government should implement the survey report or carry a fresh exercise. “My only request to the government is not to mete out harassment to the elderly and different abled, many of whom have been denied the doles by the government under one pretext or other,” he added.
