VASCO: Two policemen, attached to the Verna Police Station were injured after they were knocked down by a rent-a-car at Upasnagar, Sancoale on Thursday.
Head constable Ashish Kumar and constable Sagar Rane were injured when they had gone to Sancoale after the Verna Police received a phone call of an accident involving a car and a two-wheeler at Sancoale.

As they were proceeding on a two-wheeler to Sancoale, a rent-a-car operator knocked them down on a slope near the Housing Board Colony at Upasnagar, injuring them.
They were immediate to the Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim and were discharged after administering medical treatment.
Earlier, another rent-a-car vehicle collided against a divider at Shantinagar highway. After the collision, the vehicle went off the road and fell into a gutter. However, the occupants of the vehicle escaped unhurt, police said.
The Verna Police have conducted panchanama in both the accident cases and are conducting investigations.
