RIVONA: The Goa Government has recently decided to charge fees for entry to certain tourist places. The ancient Rock Carving at Ponsaimol Rivona is Quepem in one such place. However, there are no basic facilities for visitors at this spot. There are no toilets, no benches to relax, no guides to explain about the place.
Also there is no sign boards on the main road to show the location of Neolithic site which has the largest rock carving. There is no drinking water facilities, no power supply, no shops or mobile network to call at the time of emergency. There are not even dustbins placed at the site to dispose of waste. Still there is a fee charged to see the ancient site.

The greatest irony is that there is not even a proper tarred road leading to the precious site and the existing mud road runs through private property.
