An agitated Fatorda MLA, who is a member of the High Powered Committee, bitterly protested over the failure by the civic body to make available copies of the draft concession agreement before the power point presentation.
Naik, who came out midway through the meeting, later told newsmen that the civic body should have made available copies of the draft agreement to facilitate the city fathers and members of the high powered committee to study the provisions.
He said the MMC has fixed a meeting of the Council on January 21 for discussion of the draft concession agreement and wondered whether there can be open discussion on the issue without making available the draft in advance.
MMC Councillor Pratima Coutinho also raised a similar point by pointing out that the draft copies ought to have been provided to the city Fathers before the power point presentation.
