Goa Governor Rajendra Arlekar expressed confidence that India would emerge as a “Viksit Bharat” by the year 2047 while addressing participants at the National Youth Parliament Goa 2026.
Speaking to the youth at the event held in Goa, Arlekar said that although he may not personally be present to witness the country’s progress in 2047, he strongly believes that India will achieve the vision of becoming a developed nation by then.
The Governor encouraged young people to actively participate in nation-building and play a meaningful role in achieving the country’s long-term development goals. He emphasised the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of the nation and contributing towards social and economic progress.
The National Youth Parliament Goa 2026 event witnessed participation from students and young delegates, focusing on leadership, democracy, governance, and the role of youth in strengthening the country’s future.
