Goa High Court Grants Bail to Murder Accused Sharanbasu ‘Chempya’ Gaikwad

The High Court of Bombay at Goa has granted bail to Sharanbasu alias “Chempya” Buddappa Gaikwad, one of the nine accused in the 2024 assault and murder case of Ahemad Devdi.

Gaikwad had been in judicial custody since his arrest by the Mapusa Police on May 30, 2024, following investigations into the fatal assault.

The case pertains to the alleged attack and murder of Ahemad Devdi, in which multiple persons were named as accused. Gaikwad is among the nine individuals chargesheeted in connection with the incident.
