MAYEM: Goa is likely to get Tillari canal water from next week as the repair work of the damaged canal at Khanyale-Maharashtra is nearing completion.
It is learnt that the concerned superintendent engineer and his subordinates are continuously monitoring the work. The repair work is undertaken by using proportionate amount of cement and concrete and the repair work is likely to be completed by March 11.
It may be recalled that the Tillari canal breached at Khanyale on February 5, due to which water from the Tillari canal was stopped, severely affecting farmers in Goa.
