In a tribute to his enduring legacy, the current Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, accompanied by esteemed dignitaries, gathered at the Samadhi of Dayanand Bandodkar in Miramar. The ceremony was a poignant moment of reflection, a time to recall his unwavering dedication to the betterment of Goa and its people. The act of offering floral tributes was a sincere gesture, symbolizing the profound impact he had on the state’s trajectory.
The commemorative event also encompassed the symbolic garlanding of statues erected in his honour. These statues, strategically placed across the state, serve as timeless reminders of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment. One such statue stands near the Old Secretariat in Panjim, an embodiment of his principles and ideals that continue to guide us today. Mandrem locals unveiled a half statue of Bandodkar during the commemoration of his death anniversary in Mandrem.
