Govt to install cameras

Chief Minister Digambar Kamat has said the government will now take up the responsibility of installing surveillance camera in the Margao Municipal Council and two other civic bodies to keep a tab on the employees.
When newsmen asked the Chief Minister over the failure by the Margao Civic body to install the surveillance cameras within a month’s time, Kamat said the government might not mind spending its own money to install the cameras in two-three Civic bodies, besides the Collectorate and other departments where the public contact is more.
He said the government is working out and identifying certain departments for the installation of the surveillance cameras.
