PANJIM: Changing wind pattern over different levels, as result of low pressure formation over West-Central Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into deep depression, is expected to bring heavy rains for Goa till October 15. The rainfall activities will witness increase from October 14.
As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) weather report, the depression, moving west-northwestwards, it is very likely to cross the north Andhra Pradesh coast as a depression on the morning of October 12.

Under its influence, adverse weather is likely to be over the Andaman Sea, south and central Bay of Bengal between October 9 and 12 and over Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, interior Karnataka and adjoining Maharashtra till October 12.
Several parts of Goa also reported moderate to heavy rain on Saturday as well as on Sunday, as a result of change in the wind pattern.
The IMD Goa observatory expert Rahul Mohan said that this associated with the depression, the wind pattern over Goa region also may change such that moisture and cloud formation is expected. “Heavy rainfall activities, accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning is expected at isolated places till October 13,” he said.
“There will increase in rainfall activities on October 14 and 15, with State expected very heavy showers,” he said.
The southwest monsoon season brought whopping 160 inches of rainfall.
However, the post monsoon activities have not been very good, with State recording 31 per cent deficit rains.
