The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has issued a high wave alert for the coastal areas of North and South Goa, as well as the shores of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Kerala. Wave heights are forecasted to rise up to 4.3 metres from the evening of May 26 until 8:30 p.m. on May 27. In light of the hazardous sea conditions, authorities have urged the suspension of all nearshore recreational activities and advised small vessels to remain docked.
Alongside the high waves, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall, with isolated areas in North and South Goa likely to experience heavy to very heavy downpours. Squally winds ranging from 40–50 kmph, with gusts up to 60 kmph, are expected to batter the coastline during this period.

Residents and tourists are strongly advised to stay away from the sea, while fishermen have been explicitly warned against venturing out. Authorities have recommended several precautionary measures, including remaining indoors, avoiding low-lying and flood-prone areas, and halting farming and grazing activities to ensure public safety.
