PANJIM: MGP Marcaim MLA and former PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar has hit back at the criticism that was levelled against him by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and accused the Chief Minister of trying to cover up for the BJP-led government’s failures.
The MLA was addressing the media persons on Saturday where he slammed the government, particularly the IT Department for the woeful Internet connectivity in the State that is affecting the student community who are relying on online education. He however praised former IT minister Rohan Khaunte for bringing in discipline in the department but criticised all the other IT ministers for failing to help students when it came to online education and setting up the requisite infrastructure.
He said all the past IT ministers except for Khaunte had failed given how bad the network connectivity is, especially in rural areas.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also expressed his shock and surprise that the Chief Minister chose to blame him (Dhavalikar) during the Chief Minister’s visit to Sanvordem Constituency.
The Chief Minister had criticised Dhavalikar for not solving various development related issues and for being unable to achieve targets when it came to water supply.
