Fatorda police nab accused in Mapusa woman’s assault and extortion case

Fatorda Police have arrested Goa native Raj Prashant Thakur, who was traced and caught in Pune, in connection with a shocking sexual assault and extortion case involving a woman from Mapusa.

Authorities said the accused allegedly lured the victim with a job offer, recorded an explicit video without her consent, and subsequently blackmailed her for ₹40 lakh.

Police have also registered cases against Anthony D’Souza, Siddharth Kambli, and Jyoti Nagvekar in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities continue to search for other accomplices involved in the racket.
