The Calangute Civic Forum has alleged that the GCZMA and the Director of Panchayat grant a stay on show cause and demolition notices. President Premanand Diukar stated that Panchayats are guardians of the coastal areas, yet when they issue demolition order, they are blocked by the higher authorities. The Candolim village panchayat conducted the inspection and have already issued demolition notice. Huge sand dunes have been slaughtered locals stated.
