Goan cricketer Snehal Kauthankar scripts history at BCCI Naman Awards

Snehal Kauthankar created history by becoming the first cricketer from Goa to win a prestigious honour at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Naman Awards 2026, held in New Delhi.

Kauthankar was presented with the Madhavrao Scindia Award for scoring the highest number of runs in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group during the 2024–25 season. His consistent performances and remarkable run tally stood out, earning him national recognition on one of Indian cricket’s biggest stages.
