PANJIM: The two theft cases reported in the office of Lusofonia
Games has brought under scanner the role of the employees as
Agassaim police has called for a list of working staffers.
Police sources said that they are suspecting involvement of the
officer staffer/s as no break-ins were reported in any of the two
theft cases.
Three computers, printer and a stabilizer; all costing around Rs
64,500 were stolen from the office rooms in the beginning of March
and April. Police suspect this could even be an attempt to delete
Games-related data stored in the system.
While investigation is underway, the concerned authorities have
shifted three other computers from the office to an undisclosed
location to thwart possible theft in future.
In the wake of the Portuguese commonwealth games in January, the
government had temporarily handed over Yatri Niwas in the Goa
medical college complex to the organisers to operate as the
Lusofonia Games office.
