Marathi Rajbhasa Andolan (MRA) which started in the year December 2012 soon after the state legislative assembly saw Ajitsingh Rane as the key personality of the Andolan. Rane had headed a number of delegations to then CM Manohar Parrikar and also lead number of protests and dharna. However after few months of being active in the movement, Rane moved out of the Andolan. Speaking to Herald, MRA member, Pradeep Amonkar said, “He must be busy with other agitations and protests, therefore he cannot give time to the Marathi Andolan. He is heading too many delegations.” Meanwhile when asked about his absence, he said, “I am not thrown out of the Andolan. There is no question of keeping me out from the movement. My support is always there for Marathi.”
