MARGAO: Some residents of Malbhat in Margao have lodged a complaint of breach of peace against two locals by carrying out illegal construction and erection of mobile tower without appropriate permission and consent from the people residing in the neighbourhood.
“It is seen that the illegal erection of tower is being done on the house one Mahesh Kasker and Manjusha Kasker. The said tower, besides lacking permission from authorities, emits harmful radiations, and therefore, is not permissible within the residential area,” said Elvis Fernandes, the president of Voice of Malbhat. “The tower will cause grave danger to the health of the people residing in its vicinity,” he added.
He alleged that despite the harmful effect of the tower, the work was going in full swing.
The complaint was filed by the Voice of Malbhat before the Margao municipal chief officer, Margao health officer, police inspector, deputy collector and other authorities.
