The case came to light when her mother approached the police to complain about repeated physical abuse by her husband, who worked as security guard with a local mall.
“When the mother came to us to file an assault complaint against the accused, she narrated the entire story, wherein she also disclosed about her daughter’s molestation. The last time the accused molested his daughter was in March,” a police sub-inspector said.
The daughter subsequently filed a complaint of molestation, and the accused was immediately arrested. The victim’s teacher and close friend could be the prime witnesses in the case as she spoke about her ordeal with them in the past. The investigation team is expected to summon the duo soon to record their statements.
