A man was arrested after over 1.1 kg of suspected ganja was seized in a narcotics raid at Sinquerim, Bardez, on March 7. Police conducted the raid at Halipad, Sinquerim, recovering 1,146.5 grams of greenish leafy flowering substance believed to be ganja, valued at around ₹1.14 lakh. The accused, identified as Gopal, 31, from Nerul, Bardez, is now under investigation. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act. PSI Paresh Sinari of Calangute Police is leading the probe following the successful raid.
