A 47-year-old man from Palolem died after his scooter rammed on a stray cattle along the highway opposite Our Lady of Fatima Chapel at Shelli-Canacona on Wednesday at about 12.30 pm.
According to reports, Polly Cardozo along with his friend Bandekar had gone for a shopping to Majali on Activa scooter. On their way back home, they met with an accident.
He was rushed to the Community Health Centre at Canacona, where he was declared dead upon admission.
The impact of the accident was such that Polly was flung off the road, resulting in grievous head injuries, which resulted in his instantaneous on the way to the hospital.
