MARGAO: The Goa Children’s Court on Monday remanded the alleged molester from Margao, who was involved in sexually assaulting two minor girls and molesting two children, to seven days police custody.
The accused was produced before the Goa Children’s Court for a remand.
Konkan Railway police station in-charge, PI Vincy Paes, said the police would subject the accused to interrogations to find his role in similar offenses in the area. He said the police are also investigating whether the accused was involved in molesting any more minor school girls.
Meanwhile, an officer of the Crime Branch on Monday arrived at the Konkan Railway Police station as part of the investigation. Sources said the Crime Branch officer took the finger print of the accused and other details to verify his involvement in cases of sexual assaults reported in other parts of the state.
