Health care received yet another boost in the Commercial Capital on Thursday. A new 40-plus bedded Kamat Criticare and Research centre with state-of-the-art facilities was opened at Pajifond on Thursday morning.
The Swami of Parthagal Mutt, Shree Vidyadhiraj Swami inaugurated the Criticare Centre in the presence of Chief Minister, Digambar Kamat and other dignitaries.
The new medical centre is a venture of Dr Deepak Kamat and provides all facilities, including ICU, operation theatre, X-ray and full fledged laboratory.
Dr Balchandra Desai said the 40-plus bedded hospital has the state-of-the art equipments, besides ventilators.
Replying to a question, Dr Desai said the hospital has a well-equipped ICU, besides latest anesthesia machine, and ventilators. “We have made a provision of ventilators for the ambulance for the benefit of the patients”, he said.
In his brief address, Chief Minister Digambar hoped that the hospital venure would be a success as the hospitals in the state are falling short of the requirements and the cost of hospital care is growing up day by day.
“Health has become an important aspect in today’s world. People have become health conscious. While hospitals are falling short to meet the growing requirements, cost of medicare is growing up day by day”, he added.
