PANJIM/SANGUEM: The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) has announced its list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections.
Six candidates from each district were declared on Monday.

Priyankar Mahale (Torxem), Atmaram Dhargalkar (Dhargal), Shridhar Manjrekar (Morjem), Sandeep Vernekar (Chimbel), Narayan Ari (Mayem), Yogesh Pednekar (Karapur Sarvan), Vishwajit Naik (Betki), Priya Chari (Curti) Damodar Naik (Veling Priol), Gajanan Naik (Queula), Baburao Salelkar (Borim) and Manuel Cruz (Shiroda) are fielded in their respective constituencies on MGP ticket.
“The second list will be announced on Tuesday, and we will contest 18 seats (out of a total 50 ZP seats),” MGP President Dipak Dhavlikar told reporters.
MGP leaders had recently claimed that it had received a proposal from Congress for an alliance in the ensuing ZP polls and the regional party s “open on it.”
