MARGAO: Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro on Friday assured the people of Navelim, Telaulim and Sinquetim of finding a definite solution to the problem that has occurred due to reduced height of flyover on the Sinquetim road.

The MLA informed of having brought to the notice of Chief Minister to ensure a minimum height of 5.50 metres of vertical clearance.
“I have reminded the Chief Minister that there needs to be an inquiry on how the blunder of reducing the height of the flyover actually happened with the consultant and supervisor in place,” he mentioned.
“During the COVID times, the engineers and consultant are on a rampage to expedite the construction of the stilts and the bridge by flouting the IRC Construction guidelines in constructing the bridges connecting the Saipem Lake,” alleged Luizinho.
Reminding of how with his efforts and follow up with the former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar managed to get stilts over Saipem Lake, he said, “I have brought to the notice of Laxmikant Naik, Executive Engineer PWD Div XIV, to provide specified vertical clearance for the road crossing near Tulsi Bungalow as per the guidelines and specifications which specifies minimum vertical clearance for underpasses for allowing all types of vehicular traffic.”
