When enquired with the Chairperson Nandadeep Raut, he agreed that there was an illegality done by a fruit vendor.

“I got a phone call at night saying someone is putting a concrete slab at the roadside illegally, after learning about it, I called the police, who went at the spot and stopped the work,” Raut said.

He further said, “On Monday the issue was reported to the municipal engineer and chief officer. Later, labourers were sent at the site and the concrete ground slab was removed.”

When the reporter asked Chairperson will he act tough on the vendors sitting illegally at the roadside, to which Raut informed that during the initial days of pandemic the Vasco market was shut, and the vendors were sitting on the roadside to earn their daily bread and butter, but now the time has come to stop this practice.
