MARGAO: The Orlim gram sabha discussed the functioning of an allegedly illegal mobile tower in the village.
When villagers questioned the legality of the mobile tower, the sarpanch replied that the licence was issued in 2002, but had not been renewed.
It was decided to write to the collector and Goa State Pollution Control Board to review the matter.
A suggestion to charge the company tax was rejected as it was pointed out that by asking it to pay tax would be a form of regularisation.
The sarpanch added they could not pass the budget as the secretary was on a long leave due to an injury.
