Modern RoRo Ferries ‘Gangotri’ and ‘Dwarka’ Launched on Chorao–Ribandar Route

In a significant boost to Goa’s inland water transport system, two modern RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) ferries—Gangotri and Dwarka—were officially launched today on the Chorao–Ribandar route. The new vessels are expected to enhance the daily commute across the Mandovi River by offering improved speed, safety, and comfort.

Designed with modern navigation and safety features, these ferries aim to reduce travel time and ease congestion for both passengers and vehicles. Their launch marks a milestone in the state’s push toward modernizing its riverine transport infrastructure.
