MoU with Bangalore forensic lab

PANJIM: Goa government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding with the Karnataka government, which will enable Goa police to send viscera to Forensics Science Laboratory, Bangalore, for chemical analysis.

PANJIM: Goa government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding with the Karnataka government, which will enable Goa police to send viscera to Forensics Science Laboratory, Bangalore, for chemical analysis. 
Inspector General of Police Sunil Garg confirmed that this development would clear the backlog of 500 cases, as viscera samples right from 2006 have been pending with the local laboratory. 
Goa government had set up the Goa Forensic Science Laboratory at Verna to examine and analyze crime scene exhibits and physical evidence but the laboratory is not yet fully functional.
