Due to road digging work, my BSNL lines have not been functioning for the last two months. I regret to say that even though I had registered this complaint, one and a half month back and despite making several calls to several heads of department in Mapusa and Calangute, my efforts have fallen on deaf ears. I am a person who gets frequent calls and pays my bills on time. When I contacted various departments, they informed me that it’s a cable fault in my premises. Does it take a month and a half to get it fixed? The only reply they can give is they have no staff or else they are sick. There has not been a single person to even come and have a look at my premises to rectify or solve the problem. Is this how BSNL functions? It is a shame to get these problems after having staff and professionals. Even after telling them that I wanted to speak to the head of the department I get no response. Only after visiting the department I get a clerk who runs the show and after asking for the head, I get various phone numbers. When I informed them that I would publish my grievance on the newspaper, they chose not to listen as if to say they don’t care. I even have phone numbers of neighbors who are adjacent to my house whose phones are in a working condition. Herald, you are the only hope to hear our plea.
