PANJIM: Nationalist Congress Party in Goa asked Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to take the DefExpo to Mopa as it won’t benefit locals in Betul and Quitol.
Speaking to the media, NCP Goa Unit Vice President Trajano D’Mello said, “If Parsekar says it will benefit locals and generate revenue than take it to Mopa where Parsekar’s villagers will get benefit and earn something.”
D’Mello said the Chief Minister should explain exactly how much and how revenue will be generated and how locals will benefit. “It is time the people see through the lies of this government,” D’Mello said.
“In 2004, Parrikar had brought in IFFI stating it will benefit Goa and it will boost film culture in Goa. In no way has IFFI benefited us but we are spending Rs 25 cr annually on it.”
