Vasco: The Bharat bandh called by workers unions, private transporters, bankers got a less to no response in Mormugao. Busses were plying and banks were open all day.
At afternoon the public transport in Vasco town was normal. Private busses plied on all routes ferrying students and others city dwellers. When asked a bus driver on Vasco New Vaddem route, he said “We were indeed going to participate in the Bandh. However some busses started plying in the morning. Why should we lose business and someone earn fortune on Bandh day” said the driver.
Yet another bus operator said “The Government is all prepared to have Kadamba busses ply on our routes.
