OLD GOA: The Old Goa gram sabha unanimously passed a resolution to oppose the proposed garbage treatment plant at Bainguinim and also resolved to approach the High Court against the Government’s proposal.
A public hearing is scheduled on July 28 later this month to seek people’s suggestion and objections.
During the gram sabha on Sunday Glen Cabral moved the resolution opposing the Government’s plan to construct a garbage treatment plant at Bainguinim site. The resolution was seconded by Pornem Goemcho Nagrik Manch (PGNM) president Amber Amonkar.
The resolution was unanimously passed by the gram sabha displaying the unity on the issue. As part of the same resolution the gram sabha also resolved to approach the High Court against the Government’s proposal before the date of public hearing, July 28, 2019.
