MAPUSA: Calangute Police on Thursday arrested one person, resident of Maddawaddo Calangute for illegally possessing suspected narcotic drug.
According to police, a team headed by Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo comprising of PSI Laxi Amonkar, HC Devidas Haldankar, PC Vinay Srivastav, Abhay Chincholkar, Pravin Chodankar, Bhagwan Palyekar, LPC Deepali Harmalkar and PC Driver Sunil Mhalsekar whilst patrolling apprehended the alleged accused person while illegally possessing Heroin weighing 24 grams worth Rs 1.20 lakh in his two-wheeler. The alleged accused person was produced before JMFC Mapusa and is remanded to 14 days judicial custody. PSI Vishal Mandrekar is further investigating the case.
