MARGAO: The Margao police arrested Rati Naik, 35, a native of Odisha at the Ring Road Aquem, Tolleband for allegedly being in illegal possession of 5050 grams of greenish colour fruiting and flowering tops of plants suspected to be ganja worth Rs 5,50,000.
Police said that based on the complaint, offence under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, has been registered against her. At present, she has been lodged in police custody pending further investigations.
