Just hours after the fatal blaze at Goa’s Birch by Romeo Lane that claimed more than 25 lives, reports suggested that owners Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra escaped to Phuket on December 7 via an IndiGo flight from Mumbai.
Police filed an FIR after the two went absconding. While on the run, Saurabh released an Instagram note expressing “profound grief” and extending condolences to the families of those who lost their lives or were injured.
