Parrikar allocates additional portfolios

PANJIM: After a long delay Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday finally allocated additional portfolios to his ministers.

PANJIM: After a long delay Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday finally allocated additional portfolios to his ministers. 
Retaining major portfolios of Home, Finance, Personnel, Vigilance and General Administration, he released additional portfolios to others.
As per the list released by CMO, which is yet to be ratified by the Governor, Ramkrishna Dhavalikar gets River Navigation and Museums, while Manohar Azgaonkar has been given Printing and Stationary.
Goa Forward Supremo Vijai Sardesai gets Archives and Factories and Boilers, while Vinod Palyekar gets Legal Metrology and party colleague Jayesh Salgaocar has been given Ports.
Former DyCM Francis D’Souza gets Provedoria, Pandurang Madkaikar will get non conventional energy, Mauvin Godinho gets Animal Husbandry and Protocol and Vishwajit Rane Craftsman Training and Women and Child Development. Rohan Khaunte gets Labour and Employment, while Govind Gawade got Civil Supplies.
Earlier in the day speaking to the media, Parrikar said there were demands from alliance partners but it was his prerogative to decide. “It is Chief Minister’s prerogative when and how many portfolios to be allocated,” he said.
