PONDA: The Ponda police on Thursday arrested Ismail Immamhusen Mulla, 38, a native of Jamiya Masjid Galli, Dastikoppa-Belgavi for causing death of a pedestrian at Dharbandora, on Wednesday evening.
According to Ponda police, the accused person drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Dharbandora towards Tisk-Usgao and when reached at Pratapnagar-Dharbandora, knocked down a pedestrian Basavraj, 60, causing grievous injuries. Basavraj, succumbed to his injuries at GMC, Bambolim.
