MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday said that the people of Fatorda are aware and proof to the progress it has made, calling the constituency “Goa’s hub for progress.”

Speaking on the GFP’s leadership in Fatorda, Sardesai said, “Ours is a constituency where we practice development by consent. In Fatorda we ask, plan and deliver — giving the true voice to the people.”
Recollecting on the development and progress, the Fatorda MLA said, “Fatorda is Goa’s hub for progress — here we don’t look at who knows who, but who can do it.”
Sardesai said that his Goa Forward Party and Fatorda Forward always look to find “a capable team that can deliver.”
He pointed out that the youth and women of Fatorda have distinctively shown the way ahead by bringing in world class ideas and development strategies that cater to the needs and requirements of Fatorda.
As the Goa Forward Party gears up for the municipal elections, Sardesai highlighted that his approach to Fatorda always enhances to ensure the people are taken forward together.
He said that “the reason it is called Fatorda Forward is not to remain where we were five years ago, but to constantly improve and deliver a high standard of living to all our residents”.
He pointed out that the infrastructure, development of roads, social and community life and ease of living are key pillars for Fatorda.
Sardesai highlighted the work and success of the SGPDA Retail Fish Market which was even emulated by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai, the string up of a new Fatorda Police Station, the unique relocation of the St Francis Xavier Chapel, the smart road from Ravindra Bhavan to Arlem and open community spaces developed by We For Fatorda as key examples of Fatorda moving forward
He also stated that people direct services during the pandemic such as ambulances, Oxymeters, 24×7 COVID-19 assistance by professional doctors to positive patients, supply of essential goods and accessible governance were the topmost priority over all.
He said, “Fatorda is a place of blessed and good people — and they want to see progress. Like Fatorda, all Goan urban/rural constituencies can achieve this success — if development by consent is implemented.”
Sardesai said that “Fatorda Forward is an ongoing journey of fulfilment for the people, and will always move ahead.”
