MARGAO: The Director of Panchayats has disposed off the disqualification petition filed against Macazana Panch Salvador Fernandes for want of jurisdiction.
While disposing off the disqualification petition, the Panchayat Director observed that he has no jurisdiction to enter the petition and hence disposed off the petition.
The disqualification petition was filed against the Panchayat member by Michael Estibeiro.
Meanwhile, Estibeiro has told the media that he would soon knock the doors of the High Court seeking disqualification of the panchayat member.
“Since the Panchayat Director has dispose off my petition for want of jurisdiction, I will soon file a disqualification petition against Salvador in the high court,” Estibeiro said.
