Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math in Canacona, South Goa, on November 28, to mark the 550th anniversary of the historic Math.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will unveil one of the tallest statues of Lord Ram in the country, in the auspicious presence of P. P. Shree Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji, the spiritual head of the Math.

The event is expected to draw a large number of devotees and dignitaries from across India, highlighting the Math’s rich spiritual and cultural legacy that spans over five centuries.
Officials said elaborate arrangements are being made for the Prime Minister’s visit, which will include special prayers, cultural programmes, and public addresses celebrating the Math’s contribution to the propagation of Sanatan Dharma and spiritual education in the Konkan region.
The Partagali Math, located on the banks of the Talpona River, is one of Goa’s oldest and most revered spiritual institutions, serving as a centre of faith and learning for devotees for over five centuries.
