PANJIM: Considering that a huge crowd will pour into Panjim to pay their last tributes to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday, the State police have chalked out a watertight arrangement to maintain public order, security and hassle-free traffic flow.
While the details have been kept under wraps, Inspector General of Police Jaspal Singh said they have drawn from the police force from both districts. “We are taking steps as per the standard operating procedure on security. The police force from both districts has been roped in to ensure security all along the places (where CM’s body will be taken till the last rites),” he told Herald.
