PONDA: The monsoon is fast approaching, but there is no sign of preparedness from the authorities at many places, which has made people worry about the trouble they will face due to flooding.
Ponda local Mahesh Naik stated that the authorities, whether the PMC or panchayat, always began the pre-monsoon works when rainwater already washed waste onto the roads, nullahs and rivers.
He added that there was also no civic sense among locals, who litter everywhere.
