TIVIM: The managing committee of the Siolim School has accused the previous committee and previous committee president of fraud, due to which they were not willing to step down, neither hand over charge to the new committee despite receiving order from the Director of Education.
Addressing a news conference in Mapusa, managing committee President Rajesh Vaingankar said due to large scale irregularities, the committee had removed the earlier president in August and thereafter he took charge as the new president in November, but the earlier president continued to run the show.
“The ex-president despite being ousted was still carrying out the school work. Our committee was appointed with due approvals and also with the knowledge of the Director of Education, but it appears that the headmaster and the ousted president have their misdeeds to hide due to which they are not ready to co-operate with the new committee,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, Anjuna police informed that there were complaints and counter complaints between the two warring groups of the school.
